Byakuya x reader- Help (chapter 2)

“You’re most certainly welcome, Captain Hitsugaya.” You bowed to him, and said your goodbyes and headed back to your squad. You walked sort of slow, taking in the scenery of the sky. It was a gorgeous orange sky mixed with pink.  Just then you bumped into someone, falling back on your butt.

 “I’m sorry miss (f/n).” You heard a familiar voice say. You looked up and saw Captain Kyoraku standing above you, reaching his hand out to yours. You blushed of embarrassment and laid your tiny hands in his, letting him help pull you up.  

 “N-No! I’m sorry Captain Kyoraku for being such a clutz!” You bowed apologetically. He smiled at you and waved his hand. “No it’s fine miss (f/n). And please, I told you to call me Shunsui.” You looked up at him and sighed, standing straight again.

 You have known Shunsui for a long time now, ever since Byakuya first brought you in. He knew how quiet and cold hearted your knight in shining armor   raven-haired friend could be, so he always visited. He was so nice to you, and supported you all the way. You were kinda best friends, along with Jushiro of course. They both knew of your small crush on him, so they always asked for the updates and teased you about it.

 Jushiro walked up behind Shunsui and smiled at you, his eyes showing a tired emotion. “Jushiro, you look awful. You shouldn’t be up when you’re not feeling well.” You scolded your higher up, looking into his brown eyes to see for any emotion. He only sighed and continued smiling at you. “I was actually heading home right now (f/n).”

 You smiled and looked at them both. “It is getting pretty late ya know.” Shunsui said, looking at you. “Yes of course I noticed, but I want to help lieutenant Hisagi with stuff to do.” You said, sighing tiredly.  “Don’t stay up too late (f/n)” Jushiro said, walking off with Shunsui. “And I want you to tell Byakuya!” Shunsui added, which made a tint of pink on your cheeks.

 You made it back to your barracks with a few small turns, and walked into the office. Shuhei already had a pile stack of paper work finished.  He had his head resting in his hands, sighing in frustration. You stared at him with concern.

 You had known Shuhei cause he was the one that helped train you with your zanpakuto, and he was so nice and kind. He would get flushed when you teased him about Rangiku, and always seemed to keep his posture when he was down. Ever since Captain Tousen had betrayed us, he has been frustrated with all of the work he has to do.

 You grabbed more then half of the stack he was doing and walked over to your desk. He looked at you shocked, and then a small smile formed across his lips. “Thanks a lot, (f/n).” He said, grabbing the next sheet and continuing with it. “No problem Shuhei.” You said back, placing a paper in the finished stack.

~Later on~

 You turned off the light and walked out of the office, yawning loudly. You were so tired, you could literally pass out. Plus you never mentioned, but you had been running a fever all day, so that made it even more complicated. You felt like your legs were cut by Izuru’s Wabisuke, except your legs weren’t weapons.

 You shuffled your feet through the seireitei’s maze, feeling like you were about to fall over your self and pass out. You saw something ahead of you, a male figure at least. It looked like Byakuya, but your vision began to blur. You began to fall over, almost hitting the ground, until you felt arms wrap around you. You couldn’t see who it was until you passed it out.

~Later that night~

 You woke up, feeling like you were put in an oven. You felt a warmness on your hand. You looked over and saw Byakuya with circles under his eyes, and his hand on yours. A blush crept to your cheeks as you smiled and laughed. He looked so cute when he was a sleep.

 “Byakuya…” Your voice made him look up at you, his expression staying its usual cold self. “Hmm?” he hummed, still having his hand on yours. “Why…. Why me? Why would you waste your life on some as low as me? You are from a noble family, and I am-.” He reached his hand out and wiped something wet from your face. You never realized you were crying.

 He then leaned towards you and planted a kiss against your lips, soft and passionate. You took a moment to realize the situation before you but when you did, you wrapped your arms around his neck as he shifted on top of you. The kiss depended as he grabbed you silky (H/C) hair and pulled you closer.

 You guys slowly broke apart, a blush upon your cheeks. “Because… I knew that you needed help. You were in need of help, and a man to leave a woman behind is disgraceful and has no pride.” He simply stated, crashing on the bed next you and wrapping his arms around your waist.

 He pulled you closer as you wrapped your arms around his middle. “I love you (f/n)..” He trailed off, falling asleep in a matter of seconds. You smiled and cuddled into his chest. “I love you too.” You said, falling asleep along with him.

~Alternate ending~

 Rangiku and Nanao walked in quietly, along with Shunsui. They all smirked evily, having plans in mind. Shunsui was going to draw on your faces, and the girls were taking pictures for the Shinigami Women’s Association,
 
Byakuya had sharp senses, and heard them enter the room. Knowing that they might disturb you, he had his sword beside him. “Scatter, Senbonzakura.” He whispered, his sword transformed into blossoms and chased the three out of the room.
